Our homemade guacamole is such a flavorful dip or appetizer, and is extremely kid-friendly! Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B6, and they contain high levels of healthy fats that keep you fuller in between meals (so that the kids won’t come back 5 minutes later complaining they’re still hungry!).

Easter Charcuterie Board

One of my favorite ways to teach my kids about traditions & holidays is through food! A little snack art also gets my kids excited to try new veggies that they normally wouldn’t eat (hello bell peppers… we see you!)! 🫣

🌱 #sponsored We’re obsessed with @beanitoschips mac ‘n cheese baked bean crunch snacks & their white bean tortilla chips. With 5g of plant-based protein and 4g fiber per serving, it’s a clean snack I’m happy to serve to my children. I love that the main ingredient in their chip recipe is fresh whole beans, which they proudly source from American farmers.

🌱 On our charcuterie board we also used @thegoodbeansnacks crunchy chickpeas. We love that one serving has as much protein as almonds, as much fiber as two cups of broccoli and as much folate as three cups of spinach!

No-Bake Bird Nest Cookies (candy version)

Although we don’t celebrate Easter, Liv & Sawyer learned about the holiday through Peppa Pig’s Easter egg hunt, and once they saw chocolate was involved, they begged me to join in on the festivities 😂.

These no-bake nests taste like oatmeal raisin cookies and are naturally sweetened by dates. We used coconut flour, making it a grain free and gluten free treat. Oh, and for all those celebrating Passover, this works for that holiday too (as long as peanut butter is part of your tradition)! Cookies bring us all together✌️

It always feels like a win when my kids think they’re getting dessert for breakfast, and I’m just silently laughing that they’re eating (and enjoying) carrots for their meal. It’s payback for all the grey hairs they put on this head. 😝

These muffins are perfect for breakfast or a make-ahead snack for lunchboxes. They contain whole grains, protein from Greek yogurt, and are naturally sweetened with pure maple syrup.

(Plant-Based) Chicken & Waffle Skewers

As a vegetarian mama, I’m always looking for plant-based options to feed my kids that satisfy the following requirements:

😋 Tasty + kid approved (My picky 3 year old Sawyer won’t touch it otherwise)
💪 Nutritious
❌ None of those artificial flavors/thickeners/binders/hard to pronounce ingredients

I have to admit, I miss the flavor of chicken nuggets. I gave up meat for the animals, the planet, and for my overall health but I’ve never found a good replacement for nuggets… until now 😏.
