These kale chips are a nutritious alternative to potato chips that my kids love eating AND making with me. It's a great snacktivity for kids to help with: they can tear the kale pieces up, give the kale a "bath", and then use the salad spinner to dry them off. Involving children in the food-making process sparks interest and encourages them to try new foods . Plus, they're SO DELICIOUS and take no time at all... THREE MINUTES TOTAL IN THE AIR FRYER!!
Preheat air fryer to 375F.
Wash kale and tear off large chunks from the thick stems. Discard stems.
Dry leaves with a salad spinner.
Massage oil into the leaves so they're coated evenly. Repeat step with the sea salt.
Line air fryer tray with kale leaves in a single row (no overlapping!). This may require a few different batches.
Air fry for 3-4 minutes, watching closely so they don't burn.
Enjoy!
Optional: Can sprinkle Parmesan cheese as well for cheesy kale chips or any "Popcorn" toppings to spice up your chips!
