Ready for a fun Halloween-inspired snacktivity? These spooky apple monsters, made with organic apples, natural peanut butter, sunflower seeds, strawberries, and blueberries, are a fun and clean Halloween treat for kids and adults alike. Want to make it nut-free? Just sub in sunflower seed butter for the nut butter 🥜.
Take your apple and core it (we used the Oxo apple cutter to make perfectly even slices). With a paring knife carve out some of the apple on the skin side for the “mouth”.
Fill the “mouth” with nut butter.
Take a strawberry and cut off the green top. Then slice it vertically to make the “tongue”. Stick one of the slices in the middle of the “mouth” (it’ll stick to the nut butter)
Take your sunflower seeds and decorate the top and bottom of the mouth with these “teeth”
Take blueberries and make “eyes” by attaching them to the end of toothpicks and sticking them into your monster “mouths” (either on top or behind). Enjoy!
