You'd never guess these Chanukah treats are actually apples! With just some fruit, chocolate, pretzels, and dye-free sprinkles, your kids can transform basic ingredients into festive holiday snacks. Such a fun activity to get your kids into the holiday spirit!
Slice an apple into about 4 pieces and use a paring knife to make a little slit at the bottom of the apple. Insert a popsicle stick.
For the Chanukah present: Dip apple in melted dark chocolate. Break pretzel sticks to form a present and use a pretzel twist for the bow. Dip the pretzels in white chocolate and add blue sprinkles.
For the sufganiyot/jelly donut: Using melted white chocolate and a piping pen, shape the top of the apple into frosting. Add white nonpareil sprinkles to the top for powdered sugar. We also added a white line with yellow sprinkles. Add a raspberry on top for the jelly pouring out of your donut.
For the menorah: Dip apple in melted dark chocolate. Dip 2 pretzel sticks in white chocolate to form the base and middle of the menorah. Using white chocolate and a piping pen, create the candlesticks of your menorah and add yellow sprinkles for your flames.
For the dreidel: Dip apple in melted dark chocolate. Break pretzel sticks into the shape of a dreisel and dip in white chocolate. Add an optional hebrew letter with more pretzel sticks.
Enjoy! Happy Chanukah!
