Hamantaschen are a Purim cookie, but the three-cornered shape works as well with cheese in the middle as with jam. This box runs the idea the whole way through: a savory grilled cheese version as the main, cucumbers cut into triangles beside it, and a chocolate hamantasch for dessert.
Three corners, three times.
Pack the two hamantaschen in separate compartments. The chocolate one sheds filling as it travels, and the grilled cheese one is the part that has to survive until lunch.

👉🏼To make our grilled cheese hamantashen, we took a piece of whole wheat bread and rolled it out with a rolling pin 👉🏼 Cut off the bottom edges to make it circular 👉🏼 Spread some butter on it, and pinch the edges to shape it into a triangle 👉🏼 Fill the center with cut up cheese (or any filling you prefer!) 👉🏼 Pop in the toaster for a few minutes and re-pinch the corners again. Enjoy! * * 🥒 We also had triangular shaped cucumbers (thanks to mini cookie cutters) 🍪 For dessert, the kids had a chocolate hamantash cookie (check out our recipe for Chocolate Caramel Hamantaschen from yesterday!) 🎒 Today’s lunch was packed in our @bentgo fresh lunchbox. We love it because it’s leakproof, lightweight, and has an optional 3-4 sections for a greater variety of foods.
