Tex-Mex Chicken Burgers

Recipe by Susan McQuillan from the Sesame Street cookbook "Let's Cook!"

 1 lb ground chicken
 1 onion, finely chopped
 ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
 ½ cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
 1 tsp chili powder
 ½ tsp salt
  tsp ground black pepper

Preheat the broiler and lightly oil a broiler pan

Combine the ground chicken, onion, cilantro, oats, chili powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well and shape into 4 small balls, then flatten into 4 burgers. Place on oiled broiler pan

Broil burgers for 3 minutes. Flip burgers and broil for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through the center

If feeding to a small child, break into little pieces and let them dig in!
